Brief Biography: After starting at West Chester University in the fall of 2019, Ms. Sigmund got exactly one semester on campus before the world shut down, and she got sent home for a year and a half. However, learning from home didn’t stop her from expanding her mind, and she ended up pursuing a minor in Professional and Technical Writing as well. Upon graduating from WCU in 2022—a year early—Ms. Sigmund spent six weeks abroad before returning home to start graduate school at Temple University. There, she studied Communication Management with concentrations in Public Relations and Strategic Management and Cross-Cultural Leadership. It was during this time when she started at PALCS as a Communications and Outreach Specialist. She has since earned her master’s degree and transitioned into the role of Narrative Content Specialist, focusing on connecting with current and prospective families through storytelling.
