Happy Unity Day! Today at PALCS, you may notice vibrant clusters of orange shirts throughout our offices and perhaps even our community. Today we join supporters online, in schools, and communities nationwide in wearing orange to show that we will stand up against bullying!
We hope you will all join us in wearing orange today and showing your support to end bullying and raise awareness about prevention. As a cyber school, we have a special opportunity to not only highlight bullying itself but also address the issue of cyberbullying! Make sure to post your photos sporting orange for all to see using the #PALCSUnite and #UnityDay.
PALCS has been participating in bullying prevention activities all month. From our kick-off post with links to helpful resources and tips for bullying prevention, to the Kindness Rocks Project and the Kindness Wall, plus onsite and online activities, PALCS encourages students to treat themselves and others with respect and kindness.
Thank you to our guidance department for spearheading this campaign here at PALCS. We hope that this topic will be continuously discussed, not only in October, but all months of the year, making prevention a priority. Once again, we want to wish a Happy Unity Day to all and as the PACER Center puts it, “make it orange and make it end!”
