Brief Biography: Joe Calabretta took much pride in learning math with his mother. His determination naturally became a curiosity for business and accounting. During his undergraduate studies his accounting clerk position led to controller-type month-end responsibilities. He realized then that by accepting similar growth opportunities, he would have a rewarding accounting career. During his time working in the financial sector, Joe wanted to balance and challenge his structured accounting experience by accepting a forecasting and budgeting position. He proceeded to complete his graduate studies in finance and technology. Subsequently, Joe has worked in many for-profit industries, but realized that his heart was in the not-for-profit sector. Accordingly, he worked with the School District of Philadelphia, and then with the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River & Bay, and other volunteer experiences. Joe continues to accept all growth opportunities with accounting as his foundation, budgeting as his muse, and technology as his bridge. He looks forward to our combined future based on the rippling effects of childhood education at PALCS.
