Brief Biography: Mrs. Gerstle became interested in teaching after spending countless years in many different types of schools, including spending multiple years in a cyber charter school. She attended Cairn University, studying Secondary Social Studies Education and Secondary English Education. In her final semester, she student taught in a 7th grade world history classroom, cementing her love of teaching 7th grade world history. She spent some time teaching 8th grade ELA before starting here at PA Leadership Charter School.
Mrs. Gerstle teaches both advanced and on-level world studies, as well as leads House A as the Head of House. When she’s not working, she enjoys reading, playing piano, and running.
