Biography: Mrs. Portnoy has over 25 years of experience in education, including teaching in self-contained elementary, middle school math, and gifted pull-out public school classrooms and being a founding faculty member of a progressive middle school that focuses on mastery. Prior to working at USP, Mrs. Portnoy has taught in the School District of Philadelphia, Perkiomen Valley School District, and Kohelet Yeshiva Middle School. She also is a student teacher supervisor for Western Governors University. Mrs. Portnoy enjoys spending time with her husband, also a middle school teacher, her two teenagers, and her beabull.
