Brief Biography: Ms. Bradley started her career in education as a coach, which allowed her to interact with student athletes. “When offered a position of Dean of Students (discipline during the school day and athletics in the evening), I accepted and loved it since it allowed me to spend more than just a few hours a day for part of the year with students and student athletes,” she explains. “During my time as Dean of Students, my eyes were opened to the number of students who were referred to the office for discipline whose issues were centered around struggling with traditional learning. This prompted me to obtain my teaching certificate so I could deliver instruction in ways that included all learners. The feeling when a young person experiences success is indescribable — and to know you helped make that hapen is the best reason of all to teach!”
In addition to teaching, Ms. Bradley is an Assistant Track and Field Coach at Carnegie Mellon University, where she specializes in the long and triple jumps. “When I do have free time, I like to spend it with my family and my dog, Ruthie. I enjoy going on walks, listening to audio books, and doing home improvements. In the summer, if I am not out walking, you can find me next to the pool!”
