Brief Biography: Ms. Azzaro began her career as an educator after she read an inspiring article about teaching in her mother’s WVU alumni magazine. It was an “ah-ha” moment for her, and soon after, she entered a master of arts program at WVU, earning her degree and secondary English certification. Her first teaching job was as a high school English teacher in Virginia. After a move to Ohio, she landed a position as a technology integration specialist with an educational technology agency. During her 11 years with the agency, she was exposed to what was then considered cutting edge classroom technologies and teaching methods including online learning. When her family moved to Pennsylvania in 2007, she obtained her certificate in business technology and began working as a teacher in cyber education where she has remained and taught for many years. She recently became certified to teach computer science and is looking forward to being a part of the PALCS team and teaching new courses. She absolutely loves learning alongside her students and is passionate about building authentic connections.
