Brief Biography: Steven Dziekonski has taught in several independent and public music school programs. Previous arts administration positions have included Director of Arts Programs at Pacific Ridge School in Carlsbad, CA, Performing Arts Department Chair at the Windward School in Los Angeles, and Music Department Chair at the Oakwood School in North Hollywood, CA. Teaching positions have included West Virginia University, the Brentwood School in Los Angeles, public schools in Wellesley and Kingston, MA, and the Winchester Thurston School in Pittsburgh. At various points in his career, Dr. D has taught choir, orchestra, band, jazz-rock ensemble, AP Music Theory, musical theater, digital music production, music technology, and music history and appreciation.
He is the owner of G&S Works, which provides custom orchestrations for Gilbert and Sullivan operettas worldwide. In addition to his commitment to arts education, Steven pursues his passion for helping and rescuing homeless animals. He is looking forward to helping foster a sense of community through the arts at PALCS, and supporting aspiring visual and performing artists at CPFA.
