Brief Biography: “I had the desire to become a teacher at a very young age,” explains Ms. Focht. “I always worked in some sort of field with children when I was younger such as babysitting, working in daycares, and tutoring. Getting a degree in Education was always something that I had a passion for. The ability to watch students succeed is extremely rewarding.” Prior to coming to PALCS, Ms. Focht worked for the School District of Philadelphia for 11 years as a 4th Grade Special Education Teacher. “Starting at PALCS has been an exciting experience,” she says. “I enjoy working with technology and feel like I am able to learn something new every day.”
