At The Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School, PALCS, we know how to engage middle schoolers with a dynamic, interesting online school day that they will actively enjoy! That means traditional subjects like math, English and more, but it also means individualized attention, group projects, fun electives, and engagement with their peers. Best of all, our amazing teachers provide individualized attention, acceleration, and assistance for each student.
What’s more, we also provide plenty of opportunities for students to develop crucial skills through interactions, projects, and discussions with teachers, support staff, and other students.
Middle School Academics
We have a firm understanding of state educational standards but recognize that each student’s journey to reach them is different. That’s why we tailor our middle school curriculum with advanced coursework designed for the needs of each individual student. Lessons include a mixture of interactive educational technology and curriculum as well as both live and virtual classes — all created and developed by our amazing teachers!

We love our PALCS teachers! We employ highly qualified and accredited teachers to teach all of our courses with posted lessons, live virtual classes, and tutoring sessions. All of our staff are willing to work with students in small groups or one-on-one to provide the assistance they need to be successful in their learning.

Whether it’s sports or music, performing arts or something else, we understand the challenges that families face when it comes to high-performing students wanting to pursue interests outside of school. That’s why students have the flexibility to participate in their extracurricular activities while benefitting from an educational experience built around a schedule that works for them.
The Tech You Need to Succeed
No computer? No problem! We provide all PALCS students with their own laptop, printer, ink, headset, textbooks, and other materials — everything you will need to participate in online learning. Although we’re confident that middle schoolers can tackle the technology aspect just fine — usually better than parents! — we do have a dedicated IT Support Team available should you have any questions or run into any challenges.
