Brief Biography: Thanks to her parents and the Upper Darby libraries, Ms. Regan developed a love for reading and adventure from a very young age. This passion infused her choice to study International Relations as an undergraduate at SJU. After graduation, she realized she wanted to teach because she loved the dynamics and energy of being in a classroom.

Her teaching career started as a Social Studies teacher at 21st Century Cyber School; its fast-paced, agile approach to cyber education allowed for a tremendous level of collaboration, imagination, and innovation. Later, Ms. Regan moved onto S.T.E.M. Academy in the Chester-Upland School District and taught English and Social Studies. She focused on developing performance-based, collaborative projects to tap into her students’ talents. In her final move prior to coming to PALCS, Ms. Regan served as the Cyber School teacher and as a Library Media Specialist in the William Penn School District. In both assignments, she cultivated the literacy, technical, and analytical skills of her students.

Ms. Regan is delighted to join the faculty at the University Scholars Program as a Language Arts teacher. She looks forward to exploring the great works of literature with her students through the lenses of history, culture, and contemporary times.

In her free time, Ms. Regan enjoys being with her family and friends, going on adventures near and far, reading, and working on becoming proficient in Spanish.
