Brief Biography:Mr. DiCamillo chose to become a teacher because of the involvement he had in his children’s education. “I loved spending time in the classroom,” he explains, “and found the experiences to be very rewarding. Teaching a child to read and write is priceless.” Prior to coming to PALCS, he worked in corporate litigation for sixteen years, and then as a teacher at Saint Patrick School for four years and Penn Delco School District for two.
Mr. DiCamillo was initially unsure if teaching at a cyber school, such as PALCS was right for him. “At first I was hesitant to teach in a cyber setting,” he says, “but after just a few short weeks, I realized that I can really make a difference in a child’s life.” He appreciates how much flexibility he is given to create lessons and reach students from all over Pennsylvania. “We really do have a great time in the chatroom and it is amazing how teaching relationships can develop in our virtual classroom.”
