Amid the pace and stress that comes this time of year, it can be easy to take what we have for granted. However, with Thanksgiving break right around the corner, this is a perfect time for reflection and gratitude! As part of a weekly series in November called Thankful Thursdays, some of our very own teachers and staff share some of the things they are thankful for as PA Leadership Charter School employees.
Hear from the Director of Academics:
Mr. Mark Allen is thankful for his coworkers and staff. As Director of Academics and Founder/Director of the Performing and Fine Arts program (CPFA), he shares, “I am thankful for a faculty and staff who work tirelessly every day. They open doors of opportunity and build a brighter future for Pennsylvania’s children. I am thankful for a group of people who care deeply about learning and education, and are excited to share their passion. I am thankful to spend my days among the nicest people I’ve ever worked with.”
Hear from a Middle School Teacher:
Ms. Hannah Lewis shares with us, “I am thankful for my awesome Middle School English Language Arts teacher family who is always willing to collaborate and help one another out.” Ms. Lewis is thankful for the creativity her students share in their writing. Shes is also grateful for the numerous parent allies, that are so willing to be active partners in their children’s education.
Hear from a High School Teacher:
Lastly, Mr. Robert DiCicco, High School Math Teacher, reflects on the community of students and faculty. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to work daily with students who truly care about their education.” Mr. DiCicco is thankful to work in a community where everyone partners together to provide a valuable educational experience. He also shares, “I’m thankful to work with teachers who truly care about and want the best for their students.”
We would like to thank our staff for contributing to our month-long reflection of Thankful Thursdays. Doing this will help maintain a positive attitude, a grateful mindset, and a happy heart among our PALCS community.
