Total time: 5-8 min (approx. 15-20 min for an optional cook-time)

Ingredients:

  • Rice Krispie Treats (optional: make your own batch! Recipe included below)
  • Candy Melts (suggested colors: pink, vibrant green, blue, orange)
  • Candy eyes (in various sizes)
  • Cooking Oil

Instructions:

Melt approx. 1 cup of candy melts in a small bowl in the microwave for 1 minute. Stir & continue microwaving for 30 seconds at a time until completely melted.

Add approx. ½ teaspoons to 2 teaspoons of cooking oil to the melted candy melts & stir to combine (the more you add, the smoother the finish! But add slowly)

Dip your Rice Krispie Treats in the different colored candy melts & set on parchment paper. Gently press the candy eyes into the candy melt coating to create monster faces! Use a variety of sizes to create goofy & spooky monsters.

Allow treats to cool at room temperature for approx. 40 minutes, or until the candy melts have completely hardened.

Optional (bake your own batch of Rice Krispie Treats):

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup of butter
  • 1 large bag of marshmallows (approx. 40)
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 6 cups of Rice Krispies

Instructions:

Spray a 9” x 13” baking pan with cooking spray.

In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat until melted.

Add the marshmallows & stir until completely melted. Combine with the butter.

Remove from the heat & add the vanilla extract & the Rice Krispies. Stir to combine.

Pour the mixture into the baking pan. Spray a spatula with cooking spray & gently press down until the pan is evenly coated.

Allow to cool until firm. DONE!
