On Friday, January 6, 2017, in the midst of a cold Pittsburgh afternoon, PALCS students, their family and friends joined our staff for some winter fun at the Alpha Ice Complex located right next door to the PALCS Western Regional office.
There were 55 total in attendance. PALCS Student Network Coordinator Carrie Longstreth organized the event and was excited to have such a great turn out. “The event was great! It was so nice to see PALCS students from K-12 out there skating with family, friends and PALCS staff! We even had some first-time skaters that really came a long way in those two hours!” said Mrs. Longstreth.
PALCS would like to thank all of the students, their families and friends for coming out and sharing the day with us as well as Mrs. Longstreth and the staff for putting this event together and making it a great day for all who were present!

There is always something going on here at PALCS: our Snowball Dance for the East and West is on January 20 for students in grades 9-12. We also have Book Buddies for Elementary and Middle School Connect for the East and West on Feb 3. Keep an eye out for more fun and exciting events coming up within the PALCS community.
