Rooftop Reignited: Night on the Roof #2 with Principal Logue and Assistant Principal Juliano

The school principal gives a thumbs-up to the camera while the assistant principal smiles beside him as they prepare to spend the nigh on the school roof as a reward for a successful student-led community service initiative.

One year after spending a night on the roof, PALCS high school principal Mr. Logue climbed the ladder once more. And this time, he brought a friend: high school assistant principal Mr. Juliano! But why would he return to the roof?

Don’t worry, it was his idea—again. However, he had to up the stakes a bit this time, and the best way to do so was by making it a special prize for a fundraising challenge.

The challenge was tasking Student Council with the goal of collecting a hefty 50 pounds of donated clothes for Cradles to Crayons. Can they do it?

They sure can, and they did! Student Council hit 50 pounds of clothes within a week and a half of the Night on the Roof #2 announcement.

When the night came, Mr. Logue hit the roof with his sleeping bag while Mr. Juliano was equipped with an air mattress, tent, and rug. However, they had some time to pass before they headed off to sleep. The first being spray painting Mr. Logue’s beard blue once again AND shaving his head. This was followed by water balloon games, playing guitar, and Zooming with students. Who would have thought the roof could get any more fun?

Mr. Logue and Mr. Juliano did, and they proved it. Not only was this a fun opportunity for them to connect with their students, but it was also a wonderful show of leadership, support, and community service.
